BOREAS Energietechnik GmbH, headquartered in Dresden, has been an experienced and reliable partner for the technical and commercial management of wind, photovoltaic and storage systems since 2000. With around 70 employees at five locations, the company supports over 100 operating companies and covers a wide range of services. In the area of photovoltaics, BOREAS Energietechnik is currently responsible for the operational management of 36 plants with a total of 49 MWp - fully integrated via Amperecloud Platform since March 2025.

Initial situation
Fragmented software landscape
Before the introduction of Amperecloud, the operations management team at BOREAS Energietechnik worked with separate systems: monitoring was carried out via a manufacturer portal, while ticket management and control of the field service technicians was carried out via a different tool. This fragmentation led to a high level of manual effort and confusing alarm messages. Data was difficult to evaluate and documentation was time-consuming and prone to errors. A scalable and future-proof solution was urgently needed.
Solution
Amperecloud - the operating system for renewable energies
BOREAS Energietechnik has been using Amperecloud Platform in productive operation since March 1, 2025. All systems were successfully migrated in advance and the solution was individually tailored to the operational requirements - with the aim of creating a central, standardized and flexible operating system for all processes.the improvements are clearly noticeable: alarms are now detected more quickly and automatically converted into tickets. After processing, the status visually changes to green - this ensures transparency and security within the team. The integrated combination of alarm management and ticketing has significantly reduced response times.
Even more complex tasks such as yield loss calculation or active power limitation can now be implemented more efficiently. Thanks to the openness and configurability of the operating system, BOREAS Energietechnik can flexibly adapt dashboards, reports and processes - for optimal mapping of its own operating processes.

Training
Practical training for maximum product understanding
On April 10, 2025, a full-day training course was held directly at BOREAS. Eight employees from the control room, service and operations management took part. The aim was to compare their existing understanding of the system with Amperecloud's best practices and to develop efficient workflows together.
After a brief introduction, the participants worked in groups to identify their current challenges - particularly in string monitoring, master data import and deployment planning. These pain points were then directly addressed and solved, for example by implementing new formulas with automatic recalculation on all systems.
The open exchange with Paul Heinßen, Team Lead Solutions at Amperecloud, was perceived as extremely competent and practical. His technical understanding, clear communication and the opportunity to discuss individual questions directly and in a solution-oriented manner were particularly appreciated. The personal contact on site proved to be more valuable than a purely online format.

The training content has been consistently transferred to day-to-day work: responsibilities are now clearly assigned, processes have been optimized and understanding of the platform has grown significantly.
