Solarcomplex AG is an EPC and O&M service provider with around 80 employees from Singen in southern Germany. The company plans, builds and operates plants for the provision of electricity and heat from renewable energies and offers equity participation in these plants as an ecological investment. Solarcomplex currently owns and operates over 200 MW of PV capacity. Solarcomplex has been working with Amperecloud since 2020.

Initial situation
High operating costs due to poor software quality
The biggest challenge for Solarcomplex was the fragmented IT infrastructure, which made it difficult to operate its extremely heterogeneous portfolio of different sizes and types efficiently. The poor quality of the software used impaired the operation and maintenance of the systems. At the same time, the neglected hardware meant that access to parks was blocked and errors in the components had to be searched for manually on site - a costly and time-consuming process for Solarcomplex.
These challenges also made communication with investors more difficult, as reliable information could not be guaranteed. Ultimately, all of these factors led to high operating costs that could no longer be borne in the event of further scaling.

Open data logger interfaces: Amperecloud Log is VDE-AR-N 4110-certified and compatible with all common inverters, sensors and meters. Thanks to its automatic configuration, it could be easily implemented in all Solarcomplex systems. In combination with precise monitoring, this led to the complete elimination of faulty hardware.

A central operating system for over 550 systems
Thanks to the centralization of operations management via Amperecloud Platform and Log , Solarcomplex was able to overcome the challenges of dispersed infrastructure, confusing fault diagnostics and inefficient deployment planning. Thanks to the operating system, the company has expanded its portfolio to over 200 MW and now manages over 550 plants with Amperecloud Platform.
